Magnus Bullet
Reloading .45 Colt rounds with quality cast bullets gives you control over your ammunition costs without sacrificing performance or reliability. These Magnus Bullets .45 Colt rounds come in .452" diameter, 250 grain, round nose flat point (RNFP) profile—a classic revolver load that delivers consistent accuracy for both target practice and hunting applications. With 400 bullets per box, you've got a substantial supply to work up loads and put serious time behind the gun.
Magnus manufactures these cast bullets from a proprietary alloy blend of lead, tin, and antimony formulated to handle the velocities and pressures typical of .45 Colt handloading. The hard-cast construction minimizes leading—that fouling buildup inside your barrel—even when you're pushing these rounds at hunting speeds. The RNFP profile is a time-tested bullet design favored by cowboy action shooters, revolver hunters, and anyone who appreciates the ballistic efficiency of a flat-pointed nose on a heavier .45 caliber round.
Whether you're loading ammo for a Ruger single-action, a Taurus revolver, or any other .45 Colt platform, these bullets offer a dependable, cost-effective way to feed your gun. The 250-grain weight sits right in the sweet spot for medium-range hunting and full-power target loads, giving you the bullet weight you need without forcing extreme powder charges. Cast bullets also perform well on steel targets without the fragmentation and ricochets you sometimes see with jacketed or softer projectiles.
| Caliber | .45 Colt |
| Bullet Diameter | .452" |
| Weight | 250 grains |
| Profile | Round Nose Flat Point (RNFP) |
| Material | Cast alloy (lead, tin, antimony) |
| Quantity | 400 bullets |
Magnus cast bullets are hardened to minimize leading when fired at typical .45 Colt hunting speeds. The alloy composition is designed to handle velocities around 1200 FPS with little to no fouling in most revolvers. Actual leading depends on your specific gun, powder charge, and barrel quality.
Yes. Unlike softer cast bullets, the hard-cast construction resists fragmentation and shattering on impact with steel targets, making them a practical choice for range practice.
These .452" diameter bullets are designed for .45 Colt revolvers, including single-action and double-action platforms. Verify your specific firearm's specifications before reloading.
Each box contains 400 bullets. The number of complete rounds you'll reload depends on your other reloading components—primers, powder, and brass—but 400 bullets will give you 400 complete .45 Colt rounds when paired with the appropriate components.
