Acme Baits
The Acme Little Cleo 1/3oz Gold is a compact spoon that punches well above its weight class for anglers targeting salmon, steelhead, and trout. This isn't a trendy newcomer—the Little Cleo has earned its reputation through three-plus decades of field-proven performance on everything from coldwater rivers to pike and walleye waters. The 1/3oz size makes it ideal for moderate currents and mid-depth presentations, delivering castability without sacrificing the erratic action that triggers aggressive strikes.
What makes the Little Cleo distinctive is its hump-backed profile. That curved design isn't decorative; it generates a seductive, high-frequency wiggle on the retrieve that mimics the natural flutter of a fleeing baitfish. Whether you're working current-breaks in a steelhead run or casting into weed edges for pike, that action does the convincing without requiring special technique—just steady retrieve and let the spoon do the work.
Gold is the most versatile finish for clear to moderately stained water, reflective enough to draw attention from distance but natural enough not to spook selective fish. Keep a couple in your kit. At this weight, you'll use it across conditions and seasons, and once you feel that wiggle, you'll understand why anglers still reach for the same design their grandparents did.
| Weight | 1/3 oz |
| Finish | Gold |
| Type | Hard Bait Spoon |
| Brand | Acme Baits |
The Little Cleo is proven on salmon, steelhead, and trout, and is equally effective on pike, walleye, and other predatory gamefish that respond to flash and vibration.
The 1/3oz size works best in moderate current, at mid-depth presentations, and when you need a balance between casting distance and a natural-looking fall rate. Heavier spoons reach deeper or punch through faster current; lighter spoons work slower, calmer water.
The curved profile creates a high-frequency wiggling action on retrieve that mimics an injured or fleeing baitfish. This action happens naturally—you don't need special retrieves to trigger it.
