1791 Gunleather
The 1791 Gunleather NSS1SBLVR is an optic-ready shoulder holster built for 1911 shooters who want serious carry capability beyond the belt line. If you run a scoped or red-dot equipped 1911 and need to keep your handgun accessible across your chest or back, this right-hand vertical shoulder rig merges traditional leather craftsmanship with modern optics compatibility. 1791 Gunleather is known for quality leather construction aimed at working shooters and hunters who demand durability in the field and at the range.
The optic-ready design means it's engineered to accommodate modern sighting systems on your slide, so you're not forced to choose between glass and leather carry. The vertical orientation keeps your muzzle pointed safely downrange when worn, and the right-hand configuration serves the majority of shooters. Shoulder carry distributes weight evenly across your shoulders and torso, ideal for all-day wear during hunts, tactical courses, or whenever belt carry isn't practical.
1791 Gunleather builds these rigs from leather, so fit and finish matter. This holster is purpose-built for 1911 frames, so confirm your exact 1911 model and slide configuration (especially if you're running custom work or non-standard optics mounts) before ordering. Like most leather holsters, expect a proper break-in period and routine conditioning to maintain the leather and function.

This model is configured for right-hand carry. 1791 Gunleather offers left-hand options as separate SKUs; check their lineup if you're left-handed.
Leather holsters require proper break-in and periodic conditioning to maintain flexibility and appearance. Plan on a transition period as the leather molds to your rig, and maintain it with leather conditioner as needed.
