Zastava Arms
The Zastava ZPAP92 AK-47 pistol in 7.62x39 is a semi-automatic, short-barreled take on the legendary AK platform, built for shooters who want proven reliability in a compact, maneuverable package. With a cold hammer-forged, chrome-lined 10.5" barrel, stamped steel receiver, and hard nickel-molly bolt carrier, the ZPAP92 delivers the durability Zastava is known for—whether you're running it suppressed, building a pistol-caliber AR alternative, or just enjoying AK ergonomics in a smaller footprint. The 30-round magazine capacity and bolt hold-open notch on the safety selector add practical functionality, while the hinged top cover and dual-aperture front sight (Krinkov style) keep maintenance and marksmanship straightforward.
This model arrives with real utility add-ons: a booster muzzle device, optics mounting rail, and 1913 Picatinny rail adapter—meaning you're not buying a stripped pistol and hunting for parts. The wood handguard and synthetic grip give it classic AK aesthetics without the weight penalty of a full rifle stock, and at 6.6 lbs and 19.3" overall length, it handles like a purpose-built short gun, not a chopped rifle.
The dimpled 1.5mm receiver with bulged trunnion is where Zastava puts its engineering; that trunnion design improves durability at a stress point where lesser AK builds can fail. Corrosion-resistant hard nickel-molly steel on the bolt carrier means this gun will run hard in wet conditions without surface rust eating away at your investment. If you're into 7.62x39 and want a AK pistol that doesn't cut corners on metallurgy or included hardware, the ZPAP92 respects your time and your budget.

The bulged trunnion on the stamped steel receiver is engineered to reinforce the area where the barrel and trunnion meet—a high-stress joint in any AK platform. This design improves long-term durability and reduces the risk of cracking at that critical stress point.
The cold hammer-forged, chrome-lined barrel and hard nickel-molly bolt carrier are built for reliable, consistent function with standard 7.62x39 ammunition. The proven AK design and Zastava's manufacturing background support reliable operation, though ammunition quality and gun maintenance always matter.
