Zastava Arms
The Zastava Arms ZPAPM70 is a 7.62x39mm semi-automatic rifle built on proven AK platform geometry and Serbian manufacturing tradition. If you're looking for a reliable, affordable AK-pattern rifle for hunting, sport shooting, or general purpose use, the ZPAPM70 delivers solid performance without pretense. This is a working rifle—straightforward, durable, and unfussy.
The ZPAPM70 uses a long-stroke gas piston system, the same operating principle that has proven itself across decades of global military service. The barrel is 16.3 inches, cold hammer forged and chrome lined for longevity and easier maintenance. The receiver features a 1.5mm bulged trunnion, a design choice that adds structural support where AK platforms experience the most stress. Standard AKM-pattern sights come mounted and ready to use. The rifle accepts standard side-mounted optics and accessories, giving you room to customize as your needs evolve. A bolt hold open safety lets you lock the bolt back when the magazine is empty—useful for clearing and inspection at the range or in the field.
Dark walnut furniture (handguard and furniture) combines classic aesthetics with practical durability. The muzzle is threaded 14x1 LH, so you can attach a suppressor, muzzle brake, or flash hider if your local regulations allow. The whole package weighs 7.9 pounds—light enough for a day in the field, substantial enough to feel like a real rifle. Overall length is 35 inches, and the length of pull is 16.3 inches, fitting most adult shooters comfortably. The 30-round magazine is standard AK fare and widely available.
This rifle doesn't try to be something it isn't. It's a 7.62x39mm AK that will run, and keep running, without coddling. The battle worn Cerakote finish is as much character as protection—it wears honestly.
