Yankee Hill Machine
The Yankee Hill Machine Co. Mini QD Brake in 9mm with 1/2-28 thread is a compact muzzle device purpose-built for shooters who run YHM fast-attach suppressor systems. At just 1.6 inches long and 3.2 ounces, this brake delivers serious recoil management in a footprint small enough for practical carry guns, PDWs, and short-barreled 9mm builds—without sacrificing functionality when you're shooting unsuppressed. The design makes it equally at home on the range or in competition, and because YHM engineered it to work both ways, you're not locked into a suppressor-only setup.
What sets the Mini QD Brake apart is its engineering philosophy: it's a working muzzle device, not a placeholder. The phosphate finish stands up to hard use, and the included shim set gives you the ability to time your brake precisely to your barrel for optimal suppressor alignment when you mount one. If you're building a 9mm platform around a YHM suppressor system or upgrading an existing rig with a quality brake-to-can interface, this is worth a serious look.
The 1/2-28 thread pitch is the modern standard for 9mm rifles and PCCs, making this brake widely compatible across current-generation platforms. Installation and suppressor attachment are straightforward—that's the point of the QD system—so you can spend less time fussing with hardware and more time shooting.
