XS Sights
The XS Sights DXW2 Big Dot night sight set for the S&W M&P Shield pairs a tritium-powered front sight with a practical low-profile rear, engineered for shooters who need reliable target acquisition in low-light conditions. The oversized front dot—0.188" in diameter—breaks the mold of traditional defensive sights: it's large enough to pick up fast in dim environments, yet precise enough for deliberate shooting at distance. Built from CNC-machined steel, this sight system is compact and durable enough to handle the daily carry and defensive training that Shield owners demand.
The front sight combines two light sources working in concert. The tritium element provides continuous glow without any external power source, while the surrounding glow dot material absorbs ambient light during the day and radiates in darkness—a redundant system that keeps you visible in transitions between bright and low-light shooting scenarios. The high-contrast yellow finish makes the front post easy to locate in daylight or overcast conditions. The rear sight's white stripe (non-tritium) serves as a reference line without adding visual clutter, and the low-profile V-notch design keeps the front sight central in your field of view, so you're not fighting your own rear sight to see the target.
Practical touches matter on a carry gun. The rear sight includes a ledge designed for one-handed slide manipulation—useful for administrative handling or emergency reloads if you're ever forced to work one-handed. Because the DXW2 uses the standard M&P Shield mounting pattern, it fits existing holsters designed for the Shield's factory sights, so you don't have to rebuild your carry setup to upgrade your optics.

Yes. The DXW2 uses the standard M&P Shield sight profile, so they work with existing holsters designed for Shield factory sights.
No. The tritium front sight is self-luminous and requires no batteries or charging. The glow dot material surrounding the tritium also absorbs ambient light passively during the day.

The DXW2 is a complete sight set: a tritium/glow dot front sight in yellow and a low-profile white-stripe rear sight, both ready to install on your M&P Shield.
