Wmd Guns
The WMD Accent Build Kit 5.56 NiB-X brings a durable nickel boron upgrade to your AR-15's small parts ecosystem. If you're building a new rifle or refreshing a workhorse, this kit swaps out standard controls and internal components with WMD's proprietary NiB-X coated alternatives—the kind of upgrade that pays dividends in reliability, longevity, and ease of maintenance over thousands of rounds.
Nickel boron coating is prized in the AR-15 world for good reason: it resists corrosion better than bare steel, reduces fouling buildup, and makes cleaning faster between sessions. Whether you're running suppressed, pushing high round counts, or just tired of fighting carbon deposits, the smoother, tougher surface of these parts works in your favor. This kit gives you the most-touched controls and wear items all at once, ensuring consistency across your build.
WMD designed this accent kit to work seamlessly with your existing AR-15 platform (5.56 chamber). Assembly requires standard gunsmithing know-how; if you're comfortable swapping small parts on an AR, you'll handle this without drama. The full-part compatibility and straightforward installation make it an accessible upgrade for builders who want to step up materials without a complete lower receiver swap.
| Caliber | 5.56 |
| Platform | AR-15 |
| Coating | NiB-X (Nickel Boron) |
| Included Components | Ejection Port Cover Door, Forward Assist, Castle Nut, Receiver End Plate, Bolt Catch, Magazine Lever, Magazine Button, Pivot Pin, Takedown Pin, Trigger Guard, Buffer Retainer |

This kit is designed for 5.56 AR-15 platforms and covers the major small-parts controls and internals. Confirm compatibility with your specific lower receiver and upper assembly before installation.
Yes. The NiB-X coating is particularly valued by shooters running suppressors, since it resists the increased carbon and fouling that comes with suppressed fire and makes cleaning easier afterward.
The kit includes the ejection port cover door, forward assist, castle nut, receiver end plate, bolt catch, magazine lever, magazine button, pivot pin, takedown pin, trigger guard, and buffer retainer—essentially all the small parts that benefit from durable coating and see regular wear.
This is an accent parts kit, not a complete lower. It's designed to upgrade the small controls and internals on an existing AR-15 build or refresh. You'll install these components into your lower receiver using standard AR-15 assembly procedures.
