Winchester
The Winchester XPR Thumbhole Varmint SR in .30-06 Springfield is a bolt-action rifle built for shooters who demand accuracy whether they're working from the bench, stalking game, or shooting offhand. The thumbhole stock with raised cheekpiece provides a stable, ergonomic platform that promotes consistent hand and head position—a key element of repeatable accuracy. Gray laminate construction keeps the stock rigid without warping or flex, while the matte blued steel receiver and barrel deliver a professional, durable finish that resists corrosion in the field.
This rifle is purpose-built for varmint and precision shooting. The free-floating barrel pairs with Winchester's M.O.A. trigger system to deliver the inherent accuracy serious shooters expect. The 24-inch button-rifled barrel features a recessed target crown and threads for a muzzle device (thread protector included), giving you flexibility to add a suppressor or brake down the road. At 8 pounds, it's a practical weight for extended range sessions or mountain hunts where every ounce matters but you still want enough mass for stability.
The XPR Thumbhole Varmint is thoughtfully equipped: dual sling swivel studs on the forearm let you mount a sling and bipod simultaneously, and the vented forearm helps manage heat during rapid-fire strings. The two-position thumb safety and bolt unlock button are intuitive controls, while the drilled and tapped receiver accepts standard scope mounts. Winchester's long-action design chambers the full-power .30-06 Springfield, offering the ballistic performance you need for distance shooting or medium-game hunting.
If you're seeking a varmint or precision rifle that balances stability, accuracy, and rugged reliability—without unnecessary weight or fuss—the Winchester XPR Thumbhole Varmint SR delivers.
