Winchester
The Winchester SX4 Waterfowl Hunter Compact is a 20-gauge semi-automatic shotgun built for younger shooters, smaller-framed hunters, and anyone who benefits from a shorter length of pull. At 13 inches, the compact design doesn't sacrifice the proven reliability of Winchester's SX4 platform—you get the same self-adjusting gas system, hard chrome internals, and field-proven ergonomics in a trim package that actually fits. Dressed in Mossy Oak Shadow Grass Habitat camo, it's purpose-built for waterfowl hunting from layout blinds, duck boats, and marsh calls.
The SX4's self-adjusting active valve gas system cycles everything from light target loads to full-power duck ammunition without adjustment. Back-bored technology and the Invector-Plus choke tube system keep patterns tight and consistent. The synthetic stock features a rounded pistol grip and textured surfaces that stay in hand even when wet, and the Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad tames the 20's kick—important when young shoulders are behind the gun all season. Ambidextrous controls (crossbolt safety, drop-out trigger group, and oversized bolt handle and release button) mean left and right-handed hunters work the gun with equal ease.
Sighting is handled by a TruGlo long bead fiber-optic front sight, and the ventilated rib gives you a clean sight plane for lead work on crossing birds. Quadra-Vent ports manage gas cycling and help manage recoil signature. The 24-inch barrel is the classic waterfowl length—short enough to handle in a blind or boat, long enough for swing and follow-through.
