The Winchester XPR is a no-nonsense bolt-action rifle built for hunters who want accuracy and reliability without fuss. This .243 Winchester combo arrives scope-ready with a Vortex Crossfire II 3-9x40 already mounted, so you can get to the range or field quickly. The XPR's precision button-rifled, free-floating barrel and M.O.A. trigger system deliver the kind of accuracy expected from a modern hunting rifle, while the matte blued steel receiver and black composite stock keep things lightweight and corrosion-resistant. At 6 lbs 12 oz, the 22-inch barrel strikes a practical balance between handling and velocity—perfect for varmint hunting, predator control, or medium-range deer work where the .243's mild recoil and flat trajectory shine.

Winchester engineered the XPR around speed and simplicity. The two-position thumb safety and bolt unlock button are where you need them, the Inflex Technology recoil pad absorbs punishment, and sling swivel studs come pre-installed. The short-action receiver is drilled and tapped for scope mounts, and this combo ships with Weaver-style rings and bases already in place. Magazine capacity of three rounds keeps things compact; the 10-inch twist rate is optimized for .243 ammunition. Overall length of 42 inches and a 13¾-inch length of pull fit a wide range of shooters.

The Vortex Crossfire II included in this bundle is a solid hunting scope with a BDC reticle designed for field holds at distance—no calculator required. Vortex backs it with their full VIP warranty, giving you peace of mind on glass and mechanics alike. If you're after a turn-key rifle that handles like a rifle should and shoots like it means business, the Winchester XPR combo is honest gear that won't let you down.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this rifle ready to shoot out of the box?

Yes. The Vortex Crossfire II scope comes mounted with Weaver-style rings and bases, and the rifle is drilled and tapped for mounts. You'll want to zero the scope at your preferred distance, but you won't need to buy additional mounting hardware or spend time installing a scope.

What is the .243 Winchester good for?

The .243 is a versatile, flat-shooting cartridge known for light recoil and excellent accuracy. It's popular for varmint hunting, predator control, and medium-range hunting of deer and similar game. The mild recoil makes it comfortable for extended shooting sessions and a good choice for hunters sensitive to kick.

What warranty does the Vortex scope have?

The Vortex Crossfire II included with this combo carries Vortex's full VIP warranty, which covers the optic and its mechanics.

What is the length of pull, and who does it fit?

The length of pull is 13¾ inches, measured from the trigger to the back of the stock. This is a standard adult measurement and should fit most shooters comfortably. Hunters with shorter or longer arms may prefer an aftermarket stock with adjustable length of pull.
