Winchester
The Winchester 70 Extreme Weather in 6.5 PRC is a serious weather-proof bolt-action hunting rifle built to deliver in conditions where others falter. Stainless steel construction paired with a fluted barrel keeps this rifle corrosion-resistant and lightweight without sacrificing rigidity—critical when you're glassing high country or hunting coastal regions where salt spray and moisture are constants. The 24-inch barrel strikes a practical balance between velocity and maneuverability, while the muzzle brake tames recoil and helps you stay on target for follow-up shots.
The Bell and Carlson stock with an integral aluminum bedding block provides rock-solid consistency shot to shot. That bedding system isolates the barrel from stock flex, so your accuracy doesn't depend on how you grip the rifle—important whether you're prone on a ridge or hunting from a rest. The M.O.A. trigger system breaks clean and predictable, letting you execute when the moment counts. A Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad absorbs punishment, especially welcome when you're running the 6.5 PRC's proven long-range performance.
The 6.5 PRC cartridge delivers flat trajectories and outstanding wind-bucking at distance, making this rifle equally at home punching steel at the range or pursuing elk in the backcountry. Four rounds sit in the magazine—enough for most ethical hunting scenarios, compact enough to clear typical rifle bags and scabbards.

Yes. The 6.5 PRC is purpose-built for distance shooting with excellent ballistics, and the Winchester 70 Extreme Weather's stainless barrel, bedding system, and M.O.A. trigger all support precision at extended range.
The stainless steel action and barrel are designed to resist corrosion, making this rifle a solid choice for rain, snow, and high-humidity environments where standard blued rifles can develop rust.
The muzzle brake reduces recoil, helping you stay on target during shooting and making follow-up shots faster and more controllable—especially useful with a cartridge like the 6.5 PRC.
Fluting reduces barrel weight and aids heat dissipation while maintaining rigidity, giving you a lighter rifle without sacrificing the stiffness needed for accuracy.
