Winchester
The Winchester Wildcat 22 LR in Mossy Oak Bottomland Flat Dark Earth is a lightweight, suppressor-ready rimfire rifle built for shooters who want modern features without the bulk. This semi-automatic 22 LR delivers reliable blowback operation in a compact, 4-pound platform that handles easily in the field or at the range. The 16½-inch barrel wears a 1/2 × 28 TPI threaded muzzle—standard for rimfire suppressors—so you can run it quiet when you're ready to add one. It's the kind of rifle that works equally well for small-game hunting, backyard plinking, or suppressed training without weighing you down.
Build and ergonomics are where this Wildcat earns its keep. The polymer stock and receiver in FDE keep things light, while the integral top Picatinny rail gives you a solid foundation for optics. A foregrip rail underneath with cover adds mounting flexibility, and front and rear sling eyelets mean you can actually carry it. Drop-out lower receiver design makes field stripping a breeze for cleaning—no tools required. The adjustable ghost ring rear sight and ramped post front sight provide usable iron sights out of the box, though most shooters will opt for an optic or red dot on that rail.
The trigger and controls are designed for serious shooting. You get a striker-fired design with a hemispherical firing pin for consistent ignition, a reversible safety button (lefty-friendly), and fully ambidextrous magazine release. The 10-round rotary magazine is polymer-bodied with metal feed lips and features last-round bolt hold-open—so you'll know when you're empty. The magazine well also accepts common aftermarket 10/22 magazines, giving you cheap, plentiful ammunition options. The precision button-rifled barrel with recessed target crown ensures accuracy from a rimfire that won't break the bank to shoot.
If you're in the market for a modern, no-nonsense 22 LR that's light enough to carry all day and suppressor-ready out of the box, the Wildcat in FDE checks every box.
