Winchester
The Winchester 1873 Carbine in .44-40 Win is a modern recreation of one of America's most iconic lever-action rifles—the gun that won the West. This satin oil-finished carbine brings authentic period styling and proven .44-40 performance to hunters, historical shooters, and collectors who want the real deal, not a distant copy. With a 20-inch barrel, walnut straight-grip stock, and classic blued steel furniture, it handles like the original while delivering reliable lever-action reliability you can count on in the field or at the range.
Built for hunters and sport shooters who appreciate timeless design, this carbine balances historical authenticity with practical usability. The 10-round magazine capacity, smooth steel loading gate, and lightweight profile make it equally at home on a saddle, in brush country, or at a cowboy action shoot. The .44-40 Win cartridge—a legendary hunting and self-defense round—delivers effective performance on medium game and targets at typical hunting distances. Semi-buckhorn rear sights with a Marble Arms Gold Bead front sight get you on target without unnecessary complication, and the receiver tang is drilled and tapped if you want to add an optional tang-mounted sight for a more refined aiming setup.
The carbine strap buttplate and saddle ring honor the original's working-rifle heritage, while the satin oil finish on the walnut stock develops character and patina with use. Every detail—from the barrel band to the blued steel receiver—reflects Winchester's commitment to capturing the look and feel of the 1873. This is a rifle for shooters who know the difference between authentic and kitsch, and who refuse to compromise.
