Wilson Combat
The Wilson Combat Match Grade 1911 Government Steel Barrel Bushing is a precision component for gunsmiths, 1911 builders, and shooters committed to tight tolerances and reliable function. If you're doing a 1911 build, upgrade, or repair, this match-grade bushing delivers the fit and accuracy that separates a solid 1911 from a truly dialed-in one. Wilson Combat's reputation for exacting standards means you're working with a part designed to minimize wear and maximize the potential of your slide and barrel assembly.
Installation is straightforward on most 1911 platforms—the outside diameter is engineered to fit standard slides with minimal fitting required. Whether you're assembling a new gun, replacing a worn component, or fine-tuning an existing 1911, this bushing is built to spec. Keep in mind that blued and stainless versions may require some fitting to achieve a perfect fit in your specific slide, so plan accordingly if you're working with a tighter tolerance build.
Wilson Combat's commitment to match-grade tolerances means tighter controls on dimensions and finish than standard production parts. This precision translates to better lock-up, reduced play between the barrel and bushing, and ultimately a more reliable, accurate 1911. Whether you're running it for match competition, duty, or personal defense, a quality barrel bushing is one of the unglamorous but essential upgrades that separates a good 1911 from a great one.
The Wilson Combat Match Grade bushing is designed to fit most 1911 Government models with little to no fitting required. Blued and stainless versions may need some fitting depending on your specific slide, so if you're unsure about your platform, measure twice or consult with a 1911 gunsmith before ordering.
Match-grade parts, like this Wilson Combat bushing, are manufactured to tighter tolerances and closer dimensional controls than standard production components. This precision improves lock-up between the barrel and slide, reduces play, and contributes to better reliability and accuracy.
Most gunsmiths will be comfortable with this installation. Since some versions may require fitting, having a qualified 1911 smith handle the work ensures proper fit and function—especially if you're not already equipped to measure and fit barrel bushings.
Wilson Combat offers this barrel bushing in both blued and stainless steel finishes, each suited to different builds and preferences.
