Wilson Combat
The Wilson Combat Bullet Proof Extractor for 1911 .45 ACP Series 70 is a precision replacement part engineered to outlast and outperform the factory original. If your 1911 sees regular range time or duty use, the extractor is one of the most critical components on the gun—it's what reliably pulls the fired case from the chamber. Wilson Combat built this one from S7 shockproof tool steel, a material choice that tells you everything about the design philosophy: durability under real-world stress.
What sets this extractor apart is obsessive attention to engineering detail. The hook design is optimized for maximum strength and positive case rim contact, and those tolerances are held to within +/- .001 inch—tighter than most shooters realize a part like this can be. The radiused corners aren't just for show; they reduce stress concentration and smooth out feeding through the firing cycle, which extends service life considerably. The full-diameter rear shaft maintains tension far longer than factory extractors, meaning fewer malfunctions downrange and less frequent replacement.
Wilson Combat heat-treated this extractor to optimum hardness, then took the extra step of cryogenic treatment—a process that refines the steel's internal structure and boosts longevity. The result is a part that handles the repeated shock and stress of .45 ACP cycling without degrading. Whether you're running a Series 70 1911 for competition, duty, or precision shooting, this extractor is a straightforward upgrade that pays dividends in reliability.
| Brand | Wilson Combat |

Yes, this Wilson Combat extractor is designed specifically for 1911 Series 70 models chambered in .45 ACP. Hook location tolerances are held to ±.001 inch to ensure precise fit and function.
The factory extractor is adequate, but Wilson Combat's version is manufactured from S7 shockproof tool steel with significantly tighter tolerances and optimized hook geometry. The full-diameter rear shaft and cryogenic treatment mean this part resists wear and stress much longer, resulting in fewer malfunctions and extended service life compared to standard extractors.
This extractor is engineered as a direct replacement for the Series 70 1911 platform. The precision tolerances and optimized design ensure reliable function without gunsmithing, though we always recommend testing for function at the range before carrying or relying on any new part.
Cryogenic treatment refines the internal structure of the steel and improves its durability and resistance to fatigue. Combined with heat treatment to optimum hardness, it helps this extractor maintain reliability and structural integrity through thousands of firing cycles.
