The Wheeler Hammer and Punch Set is a purpose-built gunsmithing toolkit designed for anyone who needs to drive pins, drift sights, or perform field repairs on firearms. Whether you're working at the range, in your shop, or out in the field, this set gives you the right striking tools and punch selection to handle common gunsmithing tasks without damaging your firearm or components. It's the kind of practical toolkit that serious shooters and gunsmiths keep close at hand.

The set pairs a combination polymer and brass hammer with a curated selection of punches in three materials—eight precision brass punches, four steel punches, and two plastic punches—so you can match the right punch to the job. Brass and plastic punches help protect sight posts and other finished surfaces from marring, while steel punches deliver the force needed for stubborn pins. Each punch is designed for controlled, accurate strikes without slipping or binding.

Everything ships organized in a molded hard plastic case that keeps the tools sorted, protected, and easy to grab when you need them. No fumbling through a toolbox or improvising with the wrong tool—just clean, efficient access to what you actually use. The case is compact enough to tuck into a range bag or take to your workbench.

Frequently Asked Questions

What can I use this hammer and punch set for?

This set is designed for common gunsmithing tasks including drifting sights, driving pins, and performing field repairs on firearms. The variety of punch materials and the dual-material hammer let you handle delicate work (sight alignment, component protection) as well as tougher jobs that need more striking force.

Why does the set include brass, steel, and plastic punches?

Each material serves a specific purpose. Brass and plastic punches are gentler on finished surfaces and sight posts, reducing the risk of marring or damage during precision work. Steel punches deliver the force needed when driving stubborn pins or working on tougher components. Having all three gives you flexibility to match the right tool to the job.

Does the case come included?

Yes, the set comes in a molded hard plastic case that holds all the tools organized and protected. The case keeps everything accessible and is compact enough to fit in a range bag or store on your workbench.

Can I use this at the range?
