The Wheeler Armorer's Vise is a dedicated workbench solution built specifically for AR-15 builders, gunsmiths, and shooters who maintain their own rifles. If you're assembling an AR from parts, performing routine maintenance, or doing trigger and bolt work, this gray polymer vise gives you the stable, adjustable platform you need to work safely and efficiently without a second set of hands.
The vise's design centers on two key clamping systems. The integrated mag well insert grabs your lower receiver securely and pivots to change your angle of work—critical when you're switching between tasks like trigger assembly, bolt carrier cleanup, or general maintenance. The front support is equally adjustable, with a tapered profile that holds barrel assemblies, uppers, or handguards at the angle you need. Both the front and rear supports slide and reverse in the base for maximum flexibility, so whether you're working on a complete assembled rifle or a bare lower, you've got a stable setup.
Built on a rigid steel base with non-slip rubber feet, the vise is solid enough for serious work but practical for the reloader's bench. The feet pull off if you want to bolt the vise down permanently. The mag well insert includes a hammer stop for safety during trigger work and a dedicated bolt service station—a clamped hold for your bolt carrier while you disassemble or reassemble it. Shallow depressions molded into the base catch springs, pins, and small parts so they don't disappear into the workshop void.
This is a tool that pays for itself the first time you tackle an AR build or a detailed cleaning without wrestling your rifle into a bench vise and risking damage to the finish. It handles closed or broken-down rifles equally well.

Yes. The mag well insert locks onto the lower receiver, and the angle-adjustable front support is designed to hold the upper receiver, barrel, or handguard. You can work on a complete rifle, broken-down uppers and lowers, or individual bolt carriers without modification.
Yes. The rubber feet are removable, and the steel base is drilled for permanent mounting to a workbench.
The bolt service station is an integrated clamping hold in the mag well insert that secures your bolt carrier face so you can safely disassemble and reassemble it without the bolt rolling away or becoming damaged.
The polymer insert and tapered front support are designed to distribute clamping pressure and avoid marring. Always use care with any vise, but this tool is engineered specifically for AR-15 dimensions and components.
