The Weaver Tactical 20 MOA Extended Multi-Slot Picatinny Base for Savage Axis is a precision scope mounting solution built for shooters who demand repeatability and forward-mounting flexibility. This base combines a 20 MOA cant—ideal for shooters pushing beyond typical hunting distances—with an extended footprint that gives you extra real estate for mounting optics and accessories on your Axis platform. Whether you're setting up a long-range hunting rig or a precision rifle, the additional forward length opens up more configuration options than standard bases allow.

Built from 6061 T6 aluminum and finished in matte Type III hard coat anodize, this base is engineered to handle recoil without flex or movement. The integral recoil lug locks the base solidly to your receiver, while Torx screws resist stripping during installation and field adjustments. It works with both Picatinny and Weaver-style rings, so you're not locked into a single ring ecosystem—choose whatever optic setup makes sense for your mission.

The 20 MOA angle built into this base is a game-changer for long-range work. By angling your scope mounting surface upward by 20 minutes of angle, you gain approximately one additional revolution of elevation adjustment at typical magnifications. That translates to more bullet-drop compensation without maxing out your scope's turrets—critical when you're threading shots past 300 yards. For Savage Axis owners who've outgrown close-range hunting or want serious precision-rifle capability, this base removes a major constraint.
