Weaver
The Weaver Mounts Top Mount Base 48420 is a precision rifle scope mounting solution engineered specifically for Savage 110 rifles. If you run a Savage 110 and want a straightforward, reliable way to attach your optic, this top mount base delivers the direct, rigid connection that modern hunting and range shooting demands. Weaver has built a reputation on no-nonsense scope bases, and this 48420 model carries that tradition forward with a design that's been proven across thousands of setups.
Top mount bases sit directly atop the receiver, minimizing the distance between your scope and bore axis—a geometry advantage for shooters looking for cleaner sight lines and faster target acquisition. The matte black finish blends with modern rifle aesthetics while resisting glint and reflection. This base is engineered to work with Weaver-pattern rings and accepts standard Weaver or Picatinny rails, giving you flexibility in ring selection and optic mounting.
Installation on a Savage 110 is straightforward: the 48420 uses the rifle's drilled and tapped receiver holes (8-40 pattern), so no gunsmithing or additional drilling is required. That simplicity means you can have glass mounted and sighted in without delays. Whether you're building a hunting rifle, setting up a target gun for the range, or refreshing an existing Savage 110, this base provides the foundation for a solid optic platform.
