The Weaver 99691 XX-High 1" Picatinny scope rings deliver solid mounting security for shooters building precision rifles that demand reliability. These six-hole tactical rings are engineered for hunters, competitive shooters, and precision rifle builders who need a dependable platform to attach quality glass to their AR-platform rifles, bolt guns, or other modern firearms. The XX-High height puts your optic in the sweet spot for most modern rifle configurations, and the Picatinny crossbolt design gives you the standardized mounting interface that works across virtually all contemporary rifle platforms and scope options.

What sets these rings apart is the six-screw clamping design—more attachment points mean more security and more consistent clamping pressure around your scope tube. The Type III hard coat anodized finish resists wear and corrosion, whether you're hunting in wet conditions or running drills at the range. Weaver spec'd these to handle the rigorous demands of tactical and precision applications without stripping or slipping, backed by Torx screws engineered for reliable fastening that won't twist under stress.

The multiple height options Weaver offers in this line means you'll find the right fit for your specific setup—whether you're mounting a low-profile LPVO, a precision scope, or a red dot with a riser. That versatility matters when you're matching rings to your exact sight picture and cheek weld. Black anodized aluminum keeps them light while delivering the strength serious shooters expect. Installation is straightforward with standard tools, and the repeatable, secure clamp gives you confidence that your scope stays zeroed through recoil.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will these Weaver Picatinny rings work on my AR-15 or tactical rifle?

Yes. The Picatinny crossbolt design is the standard mounting interface on modern AR-platform rifles and most contemporary precision rifles equipped with Picatinny rail systems. If your rifle has a Picatinny rail, these rings will mount securely.

What does XX-High mean, and will this height work for my optic setup?

XX-High is the ring height designation. It positions your scope at a higher plane above the rifle rail, typically suited for modern configurations with magnified optics or rifles requiring clearance above the action. For exact compatibility with your specific optic and rifle, compare the XX-High clearance specs to your setup's requirements.

Are these 1-inch rings compatible with 30mm scope tubes?

No. These rings are designed for 1-inch scope tubes only. If your scope has a 30mm tube, you'll need 30mm rings.

What's the advantage of six screws instead of four?

Six screws distribute clamping pressure more evenly around the scope tube, reducing the risk of tube deformation and providing more consistent, repeatable hold. The additional fastening points also enhance security and resistance to recoil shift.
