The Weatherby Vanguard Obsidian in 257 Weatherby Magnum is a rugged bolt-action rifle built for hunters who demand both performance and durability in tough conditions. This 24-inch barreled rifle combines Weatherby's proven Vanguard action with a weather-resistant synthetic stock and durable finish—making it equally at home on a high-country hunt or a day at the range. If you're after a reliable, no-nonsense rifle that won't quit when the weather turns ugly, the Obsidian delivers.

The rifle's ergonomic synthetic stock provides a stable shooting platform while its graphite black Cerakote finish protects against the elements. The Monte Carlo-style stock geometry promotes natural gun handling and consistent accuracy whether you're shooting from the bench or the field. The 257 Weatherby Magnum chambering gives you the velocity and flat trajectory you need for longer-range hunting without excessive recoil—a sweet spot for many serious hunters.

Weatherby built the Vanguard line to be accurate, dependable, and forgiving of less-than-ideal conditions. This Obsidian variant strips away the frills and focuses on the fundamentals: a strong action, quality metallurgy with that tough Cerakote coating, and a stock that shrugs off rain, dust, and hard use. It's a working rifle for folks who live outdoors, not a safe queen.
