Weatherby
The Weatherby Sorix Storm 12 gauge shotgun brings competition-grade design and field reliability to hunters and sport shooters who demand better ergonomics and versatility. Built on an inertia recoil system engineered for precision, the 28-inch 3-inch Sorix Storm combines thoughtful controls with modern coatings to handle demanding conditions and quick follow-up shots. Whether you're working upland cover, working a waterfowl blind, or shooting clay, this is a shotgun designed around how you actually hunt—not corporate committees.
The control layout reads like someone listened to field feedback. An oversized bolt release button (slammer button), charging handle, and safety all size up for gloved hands and fast operation in less-than-ideal weather. The stepped rib pairs with a low-profile adjustable fiber optic front sight for clean sight picture and quick target acquisition. Reload speed matters on driven birds and second shots: the receiver features an aggressive competition-style cut that shortens your cycle. And because Weatherby engineered the SHIFT System, left-handed shooters get full symmetrical controls by swapping the charging handle and safety—no compromise, no second-class left-handed gun.
Durability starts with materials and finish. The receiver, barrel, and top rib wear Cerakote protection against salt, weather, and hard use. The stock is finished with hand-painted brush patterns (done in-house in Sheridan, WY) and textured touch points that grip even when wet; a soft cheekpiece absorbs recoil. Adjustable stock shims let you dial in cast and fit. The receiver is drilled and tapped with 8-40 holes, making the Sorix optics-ready out of the box if you want to mount a scout or ghost-ring sight.
The Crio Plus choke system ships with five tubes—cylinder, improved cylinder, modified, improved modified, and full—plus a wrench and carrying case, so you're set up for any shot.
