The Weatherby Select Plus Berger Elite Hunter ammunition in 25 Wby RPM delivers magnum-class ballistics in a package built for Weatherby's lightweight Mark V 6-lug action. This 133-grain load launches at 3,150 fps, making it effective for hunting at distance without the weight penalty of traditional magnum rifles. The 25 RPM cartridge design—"rebated precision magnum"—maximizes velocity and energy retention in a compact footprint, letting you carry less to shoot as effectively as heavier competitors.
Paired with Berger's Elite Hunter projectile, this ammunition prioritizes controlled expansion and terminal performance on game. The Elite Hunter bullet features a hybrid ogive design that combines a long nose section with optimized bearing surface geometry, reducing sensitivity to seating depth variation and delivering consistent flight characteristics. The secant ogive profile enhances aerodynamic efficiency downrange, where wind deflection matters on longer shots. These bullets achieve high ballistic coefficients, helping you maintain energy and accuracy at distance.
On impact, the Elite Hunter's slightly thinner hunting jacket allows 2–3 inches of initial penetration before expansion, then sheds most of its weight to produce rapid energy transfer and a large wound cavity in the vital zone. This design philosophy—focusing energy release where it matters most—makes the round a solid choice for medium to large game at extended ranges. Each box contains 20 rounds of factory-loaded ammunition ready to shoot.
| Cartridge | 25 Wby RPM (25 Weatherby RPM) |
| Bullet Weight | 133 grains |
| Bullet Type | Berger Elite Hunter (PT) |
| Muzzle Velocity | 3,150 fps |
| Round Count | 20 per box |

The 25 RPM cartridge was designed for Weatherby Mark V rifles with the 6-lug action. If you own a Mark V, check your rifle's chamber specification to confirm compatibility, as not all Mark V models may be chambered in 25 RPM.
Yes. The 133-grain Berger Elite Hunter bullet has a high ballistic coefficient and is aerodynamically optimized for wind deflection resistance, making it effective at extended distances where energy retention and accuracy matter.
The Elite Hunter penetrates 2–3 inches before expanding, then sheds most of its weight to deliver rapid energy release and a large wound cavity in the vital area. This design prioritizes energy transfer inside the animal rather than over-penetration.
Each box contains 20 rounds of loaded ammunition, ready to shoot.
