The Weatherby Orion is a versatile 12-gauge over-and-under shotgun built for hunters and sport shooters who demand a balance of handling, reliability, and value. This 26" barrel model features a low-profile receiver that shoulders naturally, helping you track and swing through moving targets without the gun fighting your mechanics. Whether you're working a field of upland birds, setting up over water, or running clays at the range, the Orion's design keeps the sight picture clean and your follow-up shots quick.

Build quality matters in a shotgun that works as hard as you do. The Orion comes with chrome-lined bores for corrosion resistance and longevity, a 3" chamber to handle standard and magnum loads, and automatic ejectors that throw empties clear so reloads stay smooth. The matte-blue finish on the barrel and receiver resists glare and blends into field conditions, while the ventilated top rib with a brass bead front sight gives you a clean sight plane. An ambidextrous top tang safety means left- or right-handed shooters work the gun intuitively.

The stock is A-grade walnut with a satin finish and Prince of Wales grip—traditional styling that feels right in your hands and won't show every smudge and dust. At 7 pounds, the Orion carries without fatigue over a long day afield. You get three interchangeable chokes (Full, Modified, and Improved Cylinder) so you can match your shot pattern to the distance and target.

Yes. The 26" barrel, low-profile receiver design, and automatic ejectors make it equally at home in the field hunting upland birds or waterfowl, or on the range running clay targets. The lightweight design (7 lbs) and natural gun mount help with swing and follow-up shots in either application.
