Weatherby
The Weatherby Mark V Backcountry Ti 2.0 in 300 Weatherby Magnum is a left-hand, ultralight hunting rifle engineered for backcountry hunters who refuse to compromise on power or pack weight. Built on Weatherby's legendary titanium Mark V action, this 28-inch barrel rifle delivers magnum performance in a package that tips the scales at just 5.6 pounds—a significant advantage when every ounce matters on a long mountain stalk. The 300 Weatherby Magnum chambering provides the velocity and energy needed for long-range big game hunting, while the rifle's purpose-built design keeps your load manageable.
This second-generation Backcountry platform introduces several substantive upgrades that refine an already proven lightweight rifle. The new Peak 44 Blacktooth carbon fiber stock is a major step forward, shedding weight while maintaining rigidity and durability. The real standout is the second-generation 3DHEX recoil pad—a 3D-printed innovation that uses interlocking voids to progressively collapse during recoil, effectively stretching out the recoil impulse and taming the sharp kick of magnum cartridges. That's paired with Weatherby's Accubrake ST, a muzzle brake featuring 30 symmetrically-spaced ports that further manage recoil without excessive muzzle blast.
Attention to detail defines the Backcountry 2.0 Ti. The bolt body features more pronounced spiral fluting for weight reduction and smoother cycling; the bolt handle is threaded and fitted with a lightweight, skeletonized aluminum knob for fast, confident manipulation. The titanium action is left raw to showcase its precision machining, while the barrel, bolt, and trigger guard wear a durable black ceramic Cerakote finish. The carbon fiber stock showcases a distinctive grey and white sponge pattern. With a 1-in-10 twist rate, 3+1 magazine capacity, and a 13.5-inch length of pull, this left-hand rifle is built for serious mountain hunters who value efficiency and reliability in demanding terrain.

The second-generation 3DHEX pad is a 3D-printed recoil pad featuring interlocking voids inside. Combined with the Accubrake ST, it makes the 300 Weatherby Magnum noticeably more pleasant to shoot.
This rifle weighs 5.6 pounds, making it ideal for mountain hunting where minimizing pack weight is critical without sacrificing power.
