Weatherby
Building precision handloads for your Weatherby .270 Magnum starts with quality brass, and the Weatherby BRASS270 unprimed cases give you the foundation to produce consistent, accurate ammunition. This 20-count box of Weatherby brass is designed specifically for reloaders who demand reliable performance from one of the most capable magnum rifle cartridges, whether you're preparing loads for long-range hunting or precision shooting at the range.
Weatherby unprimed cases come CNC-machined and meet strict manufacturing grade specifications—a baseline for quality that matters when you're investing time into handloading. The cases are unprimed, giving you the flexibility to select primers that match your load requirements and preferred reloading practices. Because these cases are fresh from manufacturing, plan to size, deburr, and chamfer them before reloading; the forming and shipping process may leave the case mouth slightly out-of-round, and proper prep ensures consistent neck tension and reliable bullet seating.
You may notice a slight discoloration near the neck on some cases—this is a byproduct of the annealing process Weatherby applies during manufacturing to ensure the brass expands and contracts predictably under the pressures of repeated firing and reloading. That controlled annealing is what gives the brass the flexibility and durability you need across multiple reload cycles. For hunters and long-distance shooters who reload their own ammunition, starting with Weatherby factory brass eliminates variables and lets you focus on load development and accuracy.

Yes. These cases require sizing, deburring, and chamfering before you begin reloading. The forming and transport process may leave the case mouth slightly out-of-round, and proper prep ensures consistent neck tension and safe, accurate rounds.
That's a normal byproduct of the annealing process Weatherby applies during manufacturing. Annealing heats the brass to a specified temperature and then cools it quickly, which gives the cases the flexibility and durability needed for multiple reload cycles. It does not affect performance or safety.
No, these are unprimed cases. You'll select and install your own primers, which lets you choose the right primer for your specific load recipe and reloading setup.
Yes. The .270 Weatherby Magnum is a capable magnum hunting cartridge, and these Weatherby cases are popular among hunters who handload for their rifles. Proper prep, quality components, and careful load development are key to safe, reliable hunting ammunition.
