Weatherby
The Weatherby 307 Alpine MDT is a modern bolt-action rifle engineered for hunters and long-range shooters who demand a lightweight, packable platform without compromise. Built on Weatherby's newest 2-lug fully cylindrical action, the 307 bridges the gap between the company's legendary Mark V and Vanguard heritage and today's chassis-rifle ecosystem. Chambered in .300 Weatherby Magnum with a 26-inch spiral-fluted barrel, this rifle is purpose-built to reach out on big game and excel on the range—and the MDT partnership delivers a chassis system that collapses to save over 9 inches of length, making it genuinely field-packable.
What sets the Alpine apart is its modular foundation. The 2-lug action accepts the vast ecosystem of modern aftermarket stocks, triggers, rails, and magazines without proprietary workarounds. The included MDT HNT26 folding chassis is carbon fiber, featuring an adjustable length of pull and cheek rest so you dial in your natural position. An integrated ARCA rail gives you flexibility for mounting accessories, and AICS magazine compatibility ensures ammunition supply isn't a constraint in the field. The 26-ounce chassis weight keeps the whole package nimble—critical when you're hiking to elevation or working through timber.
The barrel wears Cerakote finish for corrosion resistance and comes threaded with a muzzle cap and AccuBrake included. A spiral-fluted bolt and tool-less takedown make maintenance straightforward. The TriggerTech trigger breaks clean, and the side bolt release lets you work the action from either shoulder. An M16 extractor and fully cylindrical design provide the reliability you need when it counts.
