Weatherby
The Weatherby 307 Alpine ST in 300 Weatherby Magnum with muzzle brake is a lightweight hunting rifle built on Weatherby's modern 307 bolt-action platform. Designed in collaboration with PEAK 44, this rifle strips away unnecessary weight without sacrificing field accuracy or shooter comfort — an ideal choice for hunters who cover serious vertical terrain or demand a pack-friendly magnum option. The 307's 2-lug cylindrical action opens the door to extensive aftermarket customization, giving you flexibility to configure the rifle to your exact specifications as your needs evolve.
What makes the Alpine ST genuinely different is the engineering beneath the polymer. The PEAK 44 Bastion stock weighs just 24 ounces and incorporates a proprietary 3D-Hex recoil pad that meaningfully tames recoil impulse—important when you're shouldering a magnum for a steep-country hunt. The barrel is spiral-fluted, a manufacturing technique that reduces weight while maintaining barrel stiffness and thermal stability for repeatable accuracy. Topping it off, Weatherby's Accubrake ST muzzle brake further manages recoil and muzzle rise, letting you stay behind the gun and spot your shot.
Aesthetics matter too. The receiver, barrel, and brake wear Graphite Black Cerakote for a professional, durable finish. The bolt and knob are finished to match. The Bastion stock shows off exposed carbon fiber with grey and gold brushed-sponge accents—no plastic pretense. The 307 Alpine ST is built for hunters who understand that a rifle's job is to be ready when the opportunity comes, whether that's at 50 yards or 500.
