Weatherby
The Weatherby 307 Alpine MDT Carbon in 300 PRC is a purpose-built long-range hunting rifle that brings modern chassis innovation to Weatherby's newest bolt-action platform. Built on the Model 307 action—a clean-sheet 2-lug fully cylindrical design—this rifle pairs a 22-inch BSF carbon barrel with MDT's HNT26 chassis system to deliver a lightweight package that doesn't compromise on accuracy or field capability. At its core, this is a rifle engineered for hunters and precision shooters who demand both portability and performance in demanding terrain.
The carbon-fiber construction throughout keeps weight minimal without sacrificing rigidity. The 22-inch BSF carbon barrel comes equipped with Weatherby's Accubrake DST (Directional Self-Timing Brake) to manage recoil and muzzle rise—a meaningful advantage when you're glassing and shooting in alpine country. The MDT HNT26 chassis features a folding buttstock that collapses the rifle's length by more than 9 inches when collapsed, transforming a full-size rifle into something compact enough to pack deep into backcountry or stow in tight vehicle spaces. The carbon-grey Cerakote finish on the barrel and graphite-black Cerakote bolt create a cohesive, modern aesthetic while standing up to the elements.
What makes the Model 307 platform particularly appealing is its compatibility with the broader aftermarket ecosystem. The 2-lug action accepts many current MDT and third-party stocks, triggers, rails, mounts, and magazines, giving you genuine upgrade pathways if your needs evolve. Whether you're setting up for a long-range competition season, a high-country hunt, or both, the 307 Alpine MDT Carbon is engineered to adapt.

The 22-inch BSF carbon barrel is engineered for accuracy and weight reduction. Paired with the Accubrake DST and the lightweight chassis, it enables precise shooting at distance while keeping the overall rifle package portable—a critical advantage in alpine and backcountry hunting.
Yes. The 300 PRC is a modern magnum cartridge designed for extended-range performance, making it well-suited for precision shooting and hunting applications where distance capability is a priority.
