Warne Scope Mounts
If you're mounting a scope on a Ruger M77 or Super Redhawk, the Warne Maxima Permanent Attach 1" High Matte Rings eliminate the need for a separate base. These rings are engineered specifically for Ruger's tapered receiver design, meaning they attach directly to the dovetail with no intermediate mounting hardware—cleaner setup, fewer potential points of failure. The 1" height is sized for standard-diameter scope tubes and works with the geometry of these rifles.
What sets Warne's Ruger-specific approach apart is the scalloped recoil control key machined into each ring. That feature grips the receiver's dovetail profile and keeps the rings planted during recoil. Assembly is straightforward: four Torx socket cap screws (T-15 size) secure the scope tube in each ring. Warne specs 25 in/lb of torque for final tightening—a reasonable, repeatable clamping force that holds zero without crushing the tube.
The matte finish blends with most hunting and tactical builds and resists glint. Because these are permanent-attach rings, once you settle on zero, they're meant to stay put. If you ever need to remove the scope, you'll need to unscrew the rings from the dovetail—not a quick-detach solution, but that trade-off buys you a rock-solid, no-wobble platform for a rifle scope.
| Ring Diameter | 1 inch |
| Height | High |
| Finish | Matte |
| Fastener Type | T-15 Torx socket cap screws (4) |
| Recommended Torque | 25 in/lb |
| Fit | Ruger M77, Super Redhawk (tapered receiver design) |
| Mount Style | Permanent attach (direct dovetail) |
These rings are designed for the Ruger M77 and Super Redhawk, which share Ruger's tapered receiver dovetail design. They are not compatible with Ruger #1, Blackhawk, or Mini-14 models, which use a different receiver profile.
No. These are direct-mount rings that attach straight to the receiver's dovetail with no separate base required. The scalloped recoil control key is machined to engage that specific dovetail profile.
These rings accommodate 1-inch diameter scope tubes, which is the standard for most traditional hunting and sport scopes.
Yes, the rings unscrew from the dovetail, so you can remove and remount a scope. However, these are not a quick-detach solution and are designed for permanent mounting where zero is established and kept.
