The Vktr Industries WLA-PAC-3005-10 extractor retainer pin is a critical wear item for AR-15 builders and maintenance-minded shooters. The extractor retainer pin holds the extractor spring assembly in place—a small part with outsized importance to reliable chambering and extraction. Whether you're building your first AR, maintaining a well-used rifle, or stocking spare parts for the range, having quality replacement pins on hand is smart planning. This 10-pack gives you enough to outfit multiple builds or keep spares in your kit without breaking the bank.

Vktr Industries manufactures this pin in black steel, a durable finish that resists corrosion and blends with standard AR components. The retainer pin is one of those humble parts that rarely gets attention until you need it—and when you do, you'll want a reliable option ready to go. At roughly the size of a roll pin, it's easy to overlook during assembly, but it's essential to keeping your extractor system functioning as designed.

This 10-pack format makes sense whether you're a hobbyist builder buying spares or a gunsmith stocking inventory. It's the kind of consumable part worth having in your parts drawer—lightweight, affordable, and always useful. No guesswork, no shortcuts: just solid, straightforward AR-15 maintenance hardware from a maker focused on quality parts.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does an extractor retainer pin do on an AR-15?

The extractor retainer pin secures the extractor spring assembly to the bolt carrier. It keeps the spring and related components in place so the extractor can function reliably during the firing cycle.

Why buy a 10-pack instead of a single pin?

These pins are wear items and are easy to lose during disassembly. A 10-pack ensures you have spares for multiple builds, repairs, or as inventory if you work on ARs regularly. It's also more economical per unit than buying singles.

Will this pin fit my AR-15?

This is a standard AR-15 extractor retainer pin. If your rifle uses a standard direct-impingement or piston AR-15 bolt carrier group, this pin is designed to fit. If you're uncertain, verify compatibility with your specific bolt carrier assembly before purchase.

Is this pin included in a complete bolt carrier group or do I need to buy it separately?

Some bolt carrier groups include the retainer pin, but many do not. If you're assembling a carrier group or replacing a worn pin, you'll need to source it separately—which is why having a pack on hand is convenient.
