If you carry a 1911 and need to shoot in low light or darkness, TruGlo Tritium Pro night sights deliver the visibility you need without batteries or external charging. These green tritium sights with white outline are purpose-built for 1911-style handguns with Novak LoMount dovetail cuts—the same proven platform trusted by serious shooters who can't afford to miss when the lights go down. Swiss tritium core and a durable protective finish mean these sights stay bright and functional for years in the field or at the range.
The design reflects lessons learned from TruGlo's acclaimed TFX PRO line. A white outline on the front and rear sights creates a clean sight picture in daylight while the green tritium core glows reliably in darkness. The rear sight features an angled edge for emergency one-hand operation—useful if your strong hand is busy or compromised. The FOCUS-LOCK ring on the front sight helps your eye settle faster on the target, a real advantage when speed matters. The U-notch rear design is straightforward and proven.
These are replacement sights for existing Novak LoMount cuts on 1911 5" Government frames in 9mm and .40 S&W. Installation by a gunsmith is recommended to ensure proper fit and zero. The snag-resistant profile works with standard holsters, so you won't have to overhaul your carry setup. American assembly with Swiss tritium keeps quality high and glow consistent—no compromise on either front.

These tritium night sights are designed for 1911-style handguns with existing Novak LoMount dovetail cuts on the slide. They fit 5" Government models in 9mm and .40 S&W. If your 1911 has Novak LoMount cuts, these are a direct fit, though a gunsmith may need to adjust them for proper zero. If your slide has a different dovetail cut (Colt, Kimber, or others), these sights will not work without modification.
No. Swiss tritium is self-luminous—it glows continuously in darkness without batteries, charging, or exposure to ambient light. This makes tritium sights reliable in any low-light scenario, from dusk to complete darkness, with no maintenance required.
Both the front and rear sights feature green tritium with white outlines for visibility in daylight and low light. The white outline makes the sight picture sharp and defined when you can see it, while the green tritium core takes over in darkness.
Yes. The sights are designed with a snag-resistant profile that works with standard holsters, so they won't catch on your draw or gear during everyday carry or training.
