The TruGlo TG131GT1A TFO (Tritium Fiber Optic) sights are a set of front and rear sights designed to give you a bright, usable sight picture in any light condition. Built around a combination of tritium and fiber-optic technology, these sights gather ambient light during the day and switch to self-illuminating tritium at night — no batteries, no switches, no dead batteries when you need them most. Whether you're training in bright sunshine or engaging in low-light situations, the TFO system keeps your target picture clear and fast.
Constructed from CNC-machined steel, the TG131GT1A features a snag-resistant design that won't catch on clothing or holster during draw, and the sights fit standard holsters without modification. The fiber-optic element is concealed from the shooter's perspective, so it won't distract your sight picture, but it's harvesting light all the same. That dual technology is where TruGlo's reputation in this space comes from — they've been pushing fiber-optics in shooting sports for years, and pairing it with tritium represents the practical evolution of that approach.
These are serious working sights for shooters who want to maximize sight acquisition speed across a realistic range of lighting scenarios. Hunters, sport shooters, and defensive-minded gun owners appreciate the simplicity: no maintenance, no battery checks, just grab your gun and trust your sights will work. The black/green color scheme provides good contrast and fast target acquisition.

Yes. The TG131GT1A is designed to fit standard holsters, and the snag-resistant design means you won't catch them on gear during the draw. Compatibility with specific handgun models should be confirmed with the firearm manufacturer or your gunsmith.
During daylight, the fiber-optic element gathers ambient light to create a bright sight picture. As light fades, the tritium takes over and self-illuminates, providing visibility in complete darkness — all without batteries or maintenance.
No. The tritium is self-illuminating and requires no power source, and the fiber-optic element is passive — it simply collects available light. They're ready to use anytime, anywhere.
The fiber-optic element is hidden from your line of sight, so it won't distract you while aiming or create visual noise. It's working in the background to brighten your sight picture while keeping your focus downrange.
