A TRUGLO Fat Bead Dual Color Fiber Optic Front Sight for Shotguns is a straightforward upgrade for shooters who want better daylight visibility on their shotgun. This universal-fit replacement bead uses fiber optics in dual colors—red and green—so you can dial in whichever hue cuts through glare or matches your preferred sight picture. Whether you're patterning a bird gun, running clays, or hunting, a brighter, easier-to-pick-up front sight can tighten your follow-up shots and reduce the time your eye spends hunting for the bead.
The design is built around a large-diameter bead that's CNC-machined for consistency. The fiber optic core is thin (.100" diameter) but bright enough to shine in most lighting conditions, and the compact length keeps it low-profile on your rib. TRUGLO includes multiple mounting screws in the package, so you can find the fit that works on your shotgun's existing sight base—no guessing, no extra trips to the shop.
Installation is quick: unscrew the old bead, thread on the new one, and zero in at your range. It's the kind of no-fuss upgrade that pays dividends when you need to be fast and sure. If you've got an older shotgun with a worn or hard-to-see original bead, this is a practical way to bring it back into focus—literally.
| Fiber Diameter | 0.100" |
| Fiber Length | 0.5" |
| Fit Type | Universal (multiple mounting screws included) |
| Colors | Red and Green |
| Construction | CNC-machined |
Yes—TRUGLO designed this as a universal replacement. The package includes different size mounting screws so you can match the threads on your shotgun's existing sight base or mounting block. Check your current bead's screw type to confirm, but most modern and older shotguns will find a fit.
The bead is dual-color, so you can orient it to favor either the red or green depending on lighting and your preference. One color will naturally dominate your sight picture based on the angle; if you need the opposite hue, you can rotate the bead if your mounting allows, but the primary benefit is having both options available rather than switching between separate beads.
This is a replacement bead for standard shotgun front-sight mounts. It works on most shotgun ribs and barrel-mounted sight bases that accept a threaded bead. The universal fit and included mounting screws accommodate the most common thread sizes, but verify that your shotgun uses a removable bead rather than a dovetail or welded-on sight.
The larger diameter is easier to acquire quickly, especially in low light or when you're moving fast between targets. The fiber optic construction gathers ambient light and glows, making the bead stand out against the target without adding bulk or weight to your barrel.
