TriStar
The TriStar Viper G2 Wood 12ga semi-auto shotgun strikes the balance between shootability and versatility that working hunters and sport shooters demand. Built on a proven gas-operated action that cycles everything from light target loads to heavy waterfowl magnums, the Viper G2 handles the full spectrum of 12-gauge ammunition without requiring manual adjustments or component swaps. Topped with a fiber optic sight and vent rib for fast target acquisition, backed by Turkish walnut furniture with traditional cut checkering, and finished in a practical semi-gloss that resists glare, this 26-inch-barrel shotgun feels like a gun built to work rather than just sit in a cabinet.
The gas-operating system is the heart of the design. A piston-driven bolt cycles reliably across load ranges, with the bolt locking open after the final round—handy for an immediate reload or clearing check. The manual E-Z Load magazine cut-off lets you unload the chamber independently without cycling a fresh shell from the magazine, a straightforward feature that adds safety and control. A four-position safety positioned at the rear of the trigger guard keeps the firing mechanism locked until you're ready. The 5-round tubular magazine comes equipped with a shot plug for legal waterfowl hunting; removing it is as simple as unscrewing the magazine cap and pulling the plug free.
Choke management is handled by a removable system using industry-standard Beretta Mobile threads. Three tubes—Improved Cylinder, Modified, and Full—ship in the box along with a choke wrench and storage box, giving you flexibility for trap, skeet, upland, or waterfowl without buying additional tubes. The chrome-lined chamber and barrel resist corrosion and extend service life, while the rubber recoil pad absorbs impact over long shooting days. At 6.8 pounds, the Viper G2 carries without fatigue and handles smoothly in the field or at the range.
