Trijicon
The Trijicon VCOG 1-8x28 MRAD is a variable magnification tactical riflescope built for shooters who need one optic to handle close-quarters engagements and extended-range work. From room-clearing distances to 100+ yard shots, this scope's 1-8x magnification range and first focal plane reticle let you dial in the correct hold without guessing—the reticle subtensions stay true no matter what power you're running. The rugged design starts with a forged 7075-T6 aluminum housing that's been tested to MIL-STD-810G standards, so it'll handle hard use in training, duty, or field conditions.
Glass quality and light transmission matter when you're counting on an optic under stress. The VCOG's multi-coated lenses deliver clear, undistorted images across its magnification range, and the illuminated red reticle gives you a crisp aiming point in low light without relying on daylight for target definition. Brightness is user-adjustable across 11 settings (2 night vision, 8 day, 1 super-bright), and a single AA lithium battery powers the LED for over 600 hours of operation. The integrated Q-LOC mount eliminates the need for conventional rings and seats directly to any Picatinny rail compatible with Trijicon ACOG standards, making it a plug-and-play solution for modern rifle platforms.
Eye relief holds constant at nearly 4 inches, so you can shoot from any natural cheek weld without repositioning your head. The segmented circle/crosshair reticle in MRAD is designed for multi-caliber use, letting you work across different loads and barrel lengths without re-zeroing your holdover values. Adjustments are in 0.1 MRAD increments per click, giving you precision windage and elevation control. Waterproof to 20 meters and built for field durability, the VCOG is a serious working optic for tactical and practical shooting roles.

Yes. The integrated Q-LOC mount is designed for Picatinny rails compatible with Trijicon ACOG standards, which covers most modern AR-15 and AR-10 platforms. Standard Picatinny top rails will accommodate it without additional rings or adapters.
The VCOG's 1-8x magnification and first focal plane reticle make it capable at extended range, particularly for hunting scenarios out to 100+ yards where your holdover remains accurate across the magnification range. However, this scope is primarily designed for close-to-mid-range tactical and practical shooting roles; hunters pursuing game at distances beyond 400+ yards may prefer a higher magnification scope.
An AA lithium battery provides approximately 633 hours (about 26 days of continuous use) at brightness setting 6. Night vision and super-bright settings will draw more power. Alkaline batteries are also compatible but will not last as long as lithium.
