The Trijicon ACOG 6x48 rifle scope is a battle-tested magnified optic built for shooters who need reliable, self-illuminating performance at extended range. This 6x magnification scope pairs Trijicon's fiber optics and tritium technology to deliver a bright red horseshoe reticle with a central aiming dot—no batteries required. Calibrated for .308 Winchester, it includes a bullet drop compensator with aiming points out to 1200 meters, making it a solid choice for hunters, tactical shooters, and long-range riflemen who demand durability and fast target acquisition in changing light conditions.

The horseshoe reticle design isn't just for looks. The wider outer circle helps frame your target, while the red dot centers your aim—a proven combination in the field and on the range. At 6x magnification with a 48mm objective, you get a genuine 2.7 inches of eye relief and an 8mm exit pupil, giving you solid sight picture and enough flexibility for different shooting positions. The scope is waterproof to 500 feet and built from forged aluminum, so it handles hard use without flinching.

One of the standout features is Trijicon's Bindon Aiming Concept (BAC)—the ability to shoot with both eyes open, which speeds up target acquisition and situational awareness. This is a genuine tactical advantage, especially in dynamic shooting scenarios. The package includes a Picatinny rail adapter (TA75), lens cleaning pen, lanyard assembly, and documentation, so you're ready to mount and go.

The scope ships with a Picatinny rail adapter (TA75), a lens cleaning pen (TA56), a lanyard assembly for the adjuster caps (TA107), a Trijicon logo sticker, your manual, and a warranty card. Everything you need to mount and use it right out of the box.

Is the ACOG 6x48 suitable for .308 Winchester hunting?

Yes. This scope is specifically calibrated for .308 Winchester and includes a bullet drop compensator with aiming points matched to 7.62mm (.308) ballistics, making it well-suited for medium to long-range hunting and shooting with that cartridge.

Does the reticle require batteries?

No. The red horseshoe reticle uses Trijicon's fiber optics and tritium-based illumination, so it stays bright without any battery. This makes it truly self-sufficient in the field.
