The Trijicon ACOG 3.5x35 rifle scope is a fixed-power magnified optic built for shooters who need a fast, reliable aiming solution that works from close quarters to mid-range distances. Whether you're running a modern sporting rifle, a patrol carbine, or a hunting setup, the ACOG's compact footprint and combat-proven design make it a trusted choice for hunters, competition shooters, and field operators. The matte finish minimizes glint and pairs well with most modern rifle platforms.

The red chevron reticle is intuitive to use in variable lighting—the triangle point naturally centers on target, while the chevron's wider bottom helps with rapid target acquisition in bright conditions. The reticle is illuminated, so you can dial up brightness in low or no-light scenarios without losing sight picture. This dual-capability makes the ACOG equally at home in daytime hunting and low-light tactical drills.

Build quality is where the ACOG earned its reputation. The rugged aluminum housing is designed to survive hard use, and the fixed magnification removes a potential point of failure that turret-adjustable scopes can introduce. The both-eyes-open design keeps you aware of your surroundings and reduces target-fixation—critical when speed matters. The included Picatinny adapter ensures straightforward mounting on any picatinny-railed upper receiver or handguard.

This is a no-frills, proven-in-the-field optic for shooters who prioritize reliability and speed over variable magnification or adjustable parallax tuning.

Frequently Asked Questions

What rifles and platforms does the ACOG 3.5x35 work with?

The included Picatinny adapter allows mounting on any rifle or handguard with a picatinny rail system—commonly found on AR-platform rifles, modern sporting carbines, and many tactical or competition uppers. Confirm your rifle has a picatinny rail section before purchase.

Is the red chevron reticle suitable for hunting?

Yes. The red chevron is a combat-style reticle, but the illuminated design and fixed 3.5x magnification make it effective for mid-range hunting applications. The chevron point is intuitive for hold-over aiming, and the illumination helps in dawn or dusk hunting scenarios.

Can I adjust elevation and windage?

The ACOG features fixed magnification and is designed as a battle-hardened, zero-maintenance sight. Elevation and windage are zeroed at the factory for the stated caliber (.223). For precision long-range shooting or hunting that requires significant distance adjustments, a turret-adjustable scope may be better suited to your needs.

What is the both-eyes-open design and why does it matter?

The ACOG's relatively wide field of view and compact footprint allow you to keep both eyes open while aiming, rather than closing one eye as required by many magnified scopes. This improves situational awareness, reduces eye strain, and keeps you alert to movement or threats outside the scope's view—a major advantage in tactical and hunting scenarios where speed counts.
