Traditions
The Traditions NitroFire .50 caliber muzzleloader represents a genuine departure from traditional black powder hunting. Chambered in .50 cal with a 26-inch Chromoly steel barrel finished in Veil Alpine camo, this rifle leverages Federal Premium's Firestick encapsulated powder charge system—a technology that fundamentally changes how you load and hunt. Instead of measuring and pouring loose powder, you load a pre-measured polymer charge from the breech, then seat your bullet at the muzzle. It's faster, cleaner, and eliminates the field hassles that have plagued muzzleloading hunters for generations.
Built around Traditions' Elite XT trigger system, the NitroFire delivers a crisp, clean break tuned for hunting accuracy. The 1:24 VAPR Twist barrel stabilizes a wider range of bullet options than conventional rifling, giving you flexibility in load selection. The 26-inch barrel is tapered and fluted for a balance of velocity and handling, then topped with CeraKote for weather resistance. A solid aluminum ramrod with Quick-T handle rounds out the handling package. The rifle ships drilled and tapped for both scope and iron sights, so you can set it up your way from day one.
The Firestick system works with standard 209 shotgun primers (not included), keeping ignition simple and reliable in the field. There's no mixing, measuring, or guessing—same tight tolerances and quality control you'd expect from loaded ammunition. For hunters tired of wrestling with powder flasks and patches, or anyone wanting muzzleloader accuracy without the traditional fuss, the NitroFire is worth a serious look.

Firestick is Federal Premium's encapsulated powder charge—a pre-measured polymer cylinder filled with Hodgdon Triple Eight powder. You load it from the breech, then seat your bullet at the muzzle. It's impervious to moisture and elements, loaded with the same quality control as factory ammunition. You'll need to supply 209 shotgun primers separately.
The faster 1:24 twist stabilizes a broader range of bullets compared to traditional muzzleloader rifling. This gives you more flexibility in choosing loads that match your hunting needs, but we recommend consulting Traditions' load data for safe, accurate combinations.
The NitroFire ships drilled and tapped for both scope mounts and iron sights, so you can add your optics of choice. You'll need to source 209 shotgun primers and Firestick charges (or compatible .50 cal muzzleloading ammunition) separately. No ramrod or basic accessories are included beyond what's listed.
The NitroFire is designed around the Firestick system and modern hunting loads. Consult Traditions' documentation for compatibility with other powder types or bullet styles.
