If you shoot black powder, you know the drill: cleaning fouling out of your bore is non-negotiable for accuracy and barrel longevity. The Traditions EZ Clean 2 Foaming Bore Cleaner is a purpose-built aerosol spray designed to tackle the specific mess that comes with muzzleloading. Unlike general-purpose gun cleaners, this formula cuts through black powder residue, copper and brass fouling, and sabot buildup—the stuff that slows you down between strings and corrodes your bore if left sitting.
The foam action reaches deep into rifling and does the heavy lifting for you. Just spray, let it work, and wipe—no need to soak barrels for hours or wrestle with stubborn deposits. The spray can design gives you control over where the cleaner goes, making application fast and mess-free. It's odorless and ammonia-free, so you can use it indoors at the bench without gassing out your workspace or your family.
One thing to note: this cleaner can remove certain finishes like lacquer, oil, varnish, and shellac, so test on an inconspicuous area if you're concerned about your barrel's protective coat. A 7 oz. can gives you plenty of cleaner for regular maintenance on one or multiple rifles throughout the season.
