Traditions
The Traditions 209 synthetic capper is a no-fuss primer management tool for black powder shooters who run 209 percussion caps on their muzzleloaders. If you're tired of fumbling with loose primers or dropping them in the dirt, this compact capper holds five at a time—one on each end and three stacked in the middle—so you've got reserves ready to go without juggling a tin or pouch.
What makes this capper practical for real shooting is the dual-end design. One end is straight for break-open and non-scoped rifles, while the angled end was built with scoped guns in mind—it positions the primer where you can actually see and reach it without awkward contortions. The synthetic construction keeps it lightweight and weather-resistant, and the lanyard loop means you can tether it to your shooting bag or pack so it doesn't vanish in the grass.
Whether you're hunting with a traditional sidelock or running a modern inline, the TRAD 209 capper cuts down on fumbling at the moment of truth and keeps your priming process simple and reliable. It's the kind of small detail that separates a smooth hunt from a frustrating one.
