The Timber Creek Outdoors Ambidextrous Safety Selector is a drop-in upgrade for any AR-platform rifle, whether you're a southpaw tired of fumbling with right-hand-only controls or a righty who values symmetrical ergonomics. This black aluminum safety selector offers both 45-degree and 90-degree positions, giving you flexibility to match your preferred activation angle and shooting style. It's a simple swap that transforms how your AR handles in the field, at the range, or in a defensive setup.
Built in aluminum for durability without unnecessary weight, the ambidextrous design means you aren't locked into a single-side control scheme. The lever positions itself symmetrically on both sides of the lower receiver, so you can operate the safety from your dominant hand—or switch seamlessly if you transition between shoulders. The 45/90-degree configuration gives you two detents to work with: the 45-degree angle for quick transitions when you need it, or the 90-degree setting if you prefer a more deliberate, audible click.
Installation is straightforward for anyone comfortable with basic AR maintenance. No gunsmithing required. Whether you're building a new rifle, upgrading an existing platform, or just want more control options on a rifle you shoot hard, this selector is a no-fuss addition that pays off every time you handle the gun.
Yes. This selector is designed for AR-platform rifles, which includes standard AR-15s and AR-10s that use the same lower receiver design.
The 45-degree angle offers quicker engagement for rapid transitions, while the 90-degree position provides a more pronounced click and requires fuller finger movement. Both are available on this selector; you choose which angle works best for your shooting style.
No. This is a drop-in part designed for straightforward installation by anyone with basic AR maintenance skills. Standard lower-receiver tools are all you'll need.
Yes. The lever is symmetrical and functions from both the left and right sides of the receiver, making it equally accessible to left-handed and right-handed shooters.
