Thompson Center
The Thompson Center Encore 22-250 Rem barrel is a factory replacement barrel that transforms your Encore platform rifle into a dedicated varmint or long-range hunting machine. This 26-inch stainless steel barrel combines Thompson Center's proven Encore modular design with precision engineering, letting you swap calibers without buying an entirely new rifle. Stainless construction means you're not babying your gear—it handles field conditions, weather, and hard use without the upkeep of blued steel.
The fluted design isn't just for looks: fluting reduces weight while maintaining rigidity, so you get a barrel that's handy to carry but stiff enough to shoot. Thompson Center test-fires every Pro Hunter barrel at 100 yards before it ships, confirming that your replacement barrel will group. The 22-250 Remington is a classic varmint and light-game caliber known for speed, accuracy, and mild recoil—ideal for prairie dog towns, coyotes, or match-grade target work. The 5/8-24 thread interface mates directly to your Encore receiver; no gunsmithing, no fitting, no guesswork.
Critical: this barrel is engineered for Encore-series rifles only. It will not fit Contender or G2 Contender frames. Verify your frame before ordering. If you're already running an Encore and want to explore the 22-250's capabilities or add another caliber to your collection, this is the fastest path forward.
