Thompson Center
Black powder rifles and muzzleloaders generate fouling that's stubborn and corrosive—especially when you're shooting modern substitutes like Triple Seven. The Thompson Center T17 Black Powder Bore Solvent is purpose-built to cut through that residue and protect your bore between shots and between range sessions. This 8-ounce solvent works on the fouling left behind by Triple Seven and other black powder substitutes, breaking down the caked-on deposits that can interfere with accuracy and make loading the next shot harder than it needs to be.
Beyond cleaning, the T17 leaves a protective film in your bore that resists rust and corrosion—a critical feature for muzzleloaders, which are prone to moisture damage if not properly maintained. The squeeze bottle design makes application straightforward: soak a patch, run it down the bore, and let the solvent's active ingredients do the work. The result is a bore restored closer to like-new condition, which translates to more consistent velocity and tighter groups downrange.
If you're running a Thompson Center muzzleloader or any black powder rifle, especially one fed with modern powder substitutes, this solvent should be in your cleaning kit. It handles the specific fouling chemistry these powders create and keeps your bore in fighting shape for next season.
