The TenPoint TX28 is a compact crossbow built for hunters who refuse to compromise on power or accuracy in a lightweight package. At just 28 inches long and 6.5 inches wide, this 250-pound draw weight crossbow delivers 410 feet-per-second bolt velocity without the bulk of traditional models. The moss green finish blends seamlessly into any hunting environment while the rail-less design keeps weight down where it matters most—in your hands during long stalks and elevated stands.

What sets the TX28 apart is its precision engineering: a TriggerTech trigger with zero-creep pull, a GUIDE-Lock arrow rest system that fully captures your bolt for shot-to-shot consistency, and TenPoint's proprietary ACUslide MAXX cocking and safe de-cocking mechanism. You can load and unload safely without ever leaving your shooting position, and the AR-style ambidextrous thumb safety keeps both hands on the bow where they belong. The 25x stronger ACU-Lock scope bridge provides rock-solid stability for optics, while the included 100-yard RangeMaster scope handles speeds up to 505 FPS and extends your effective range to 100 yards.

The Twin-Riser Technology uses symmetrical design to reduce flex and vibration, making this compact crossbow noticeably quieter than heavier riser systems. Built-in string stop and integrated bow hook round out a thoughtful design that anticipates what you actually need in the field. Everything ships ready to hunt: scope, three CenterPunch HPX carbon arrows, quiver, and de-cocking system included.

Frequently Asked Questions

What comes in the box with the TX28?

The TX28 ships fully equipped: the crossbow itself, a 100-yard RangeMaster 100 variable speed scope, three CenterPunch HPX carbon arrows, a quiver, the ACUslide MAXX cocking and de-cocking system, a bow hook, and an integrated string stop. You can hunt right out of the package.

Is this compact crossbow still powerful enough for hunting?

Yes. Despite its 28-inch length, the TX28 generates 410 feet-per-second velocity from its 250-pound draw weight. The included scope is rated for speeds up to 505 FPS and provides an effective 100-yard range, making it suitable for medium to long-range hunting applications.

How does the ACUslide MAXX de-cocking system work?

The ACUslide MAXX allows you to safely uncock the crossbow by hand without firing. Simply begin the de-cocking motion, and if you need to stop at any point, remove your hand—the handle will hold its position. This gives you control and safety when you need to safely store or transport the bow.

Can left-handed shooters use this crossbow?

The TX28 features an AR-style ambidextrous thumb safety positioned for convenient operation with either hand, though specific left-hand configuration details are not provided in the standard specifications.
