The TekMat M1 Garand 36" cleaning mat is a purpose-built work surface for maintaining one of America's most iconic rifles. Whether you're doing field stripping after a range day or a full-down deep clean, this mat gives you ample space to lay out every component without hunting for parts rolling across the bench. The printed parts diagram right on the mat serves as a visual reference so you can see exactly where each piece goes — especially handy if you're new to the rifle or just need a quick refresher on reassembly.
The mat's 1/8" padding does real work: it cushions your rifle and components against dings and scratches while you're working, and it dampens sound in a way that makes the whole job feel more deliberate and less chaotic. The ultra-soft surface is oil and water-resistant, so light spills and gun oil don't leave permanent marks. Black and white colorway keeps things clean-looking and makes it easy to spot small springs and pins.
At 36 inches long, it's the right size for a full rifle teardown plus room for your bore rod, patches, brushes, and other essentials. No more balancing parts on your lap or fishing for a pin that rolled under the couch. It's the kind of thoughtful detail that separates a proper cleaning setup from just wiping things down.
| Length | 36 inches |
| Padding Thickness | 1/8 inch |
| Material | Durable rubber with printed diagram |
| Color | Black/White |
| Diagram | M1 Garand parts diagram printed on mat |
The mat's generous 36" length works for most rifles, but the parts diagram is specific to the M1 Garand. The mat itself — the padding, oil resistance, and work surface — is useful for any firearm cleaning job.
The 1/8" cushioning absorbs impact and reduces scratches when components rest on the mat or during handling. It also helps prevent damage from drops or tools that might slip during the cleaning process.
Yes. The oil and water-resistant surface means gun solvents and oils won't soak in or leave permanent stains. You can wipe it down and let it air dry between sessions.
