Thompson Center
The Thompson Center Encore muzzleloader barrel in .50 caliber opens up a whole new dimension of hunting flexibility within the Encore platform. If you already own an Encore rifle or shotgun, this 50-caliber muzzleloader barrel transforms your current action into a dedicated frontloader—giving you the ability to hunt during extended muzzleloading seasons without investing in an entirely new firearm. The stainless steel construction resists corrosion during the wet, demanding conditions of late-season hunting, and the 20-inch fluted barrel balances handling in tight cover with effective downrange performance.
This barrel ships equipped with Firestick ignition, Thompson Center's breech plug system designed for reliable ignition and straightforward maintenance in the field. The 1:24 twist rate is optimized for the .50 caliber round ball and conical projectiles commonly used in modern muzzleloading. Paired with the included drift-adjustable sights, you get a capable hunting setup ready for ranging and hitting targets at practical muzzleloading distances. The Quick Load Accurizer (QLA) muzzle design supports consistent bullet seating and helps achieve the accuracy hunters expect from today's muzzleloaders.
Encore barrels are built on the philosophy of modularity—swap calibers to match your season and game without swapping firearms. Whether you're chasing whitetail during the November rut, pursuing elk in high country, or taking advantage of early-season muzzleloader opportunities, having a dedicated .50-caliber barrel ready to go keeps you hunt-ready year-round.
