Taylors & Company
The Taylors & Company 1866 Sporting Rifle in .45 LC brings authentic Old West character to your hunting and shooting sessions. Built on the legendary Winchester 1866 platform, this lever-action rifle combines historical aesthetics with practical field performance. The 24.25-inch octagon barrel gives you a classic profile while delivering solid accuracy at moderate distances—ideal for hunting medium-sized game and enjoying traditional rifle sports where nostalgia meets function.
This isn't a safe queen. The 1866 Sporting is a real working rifle. The forged brass frame and blued barrel strike that balance between period-correct looks and honest durability. At 8.2 pounds, it handles well enough for a day in the field without wearing you out. The straight walnut stock feels natural in your hands and speaks to Taylors & Company's attention to fit and finish. You get 13 rounds of .45 LC in the tube magazine—enough capacity for hunting scenarios without turning the gun into something it isn't.
Sights are where this rifle meets the real world: an adjustable rear and front blade keep you on target. Load it, level it, and go. The 43.25-inch overall length is manageable in brush and easy to carry. Whether you're chasing Cowboy Action Shooting matches, hunting hog or deer, or just taking a gun that makes sense in your hand out to the range, the 1866 Sporting delivers the kind of rifle that rewards good fundamentals and familiarity.
