Taurus
The Taurus TX22 is a .22 LR pistol built for shooters who want a reliable, affordable platform for target practice, small-game hunting, or casual plinking. With a 4-inch barrel, lightweight polymer frame, and straightforward ergonomics, it's an approachable choice whether you're introducing someone to centerfire-style handguns or just want a fun, low-recoil shooter. The TX22 combines solid build quality with practical features—Picatinny rail for optics or lights, adjustable rear sight, and a manual safety—at a price that won't break the bank.
The gun ships with two magazines (one 16-round, one 22-round capacity), giving you options for different shooting scenarios. The fixed white-dot front sight and adjustable white-dot rear sight are classic and effective, though the Picatinny rail lets you mount a red dot or other optic if you prefer. The Taurus Pittman Trigger System delivers a clean 5-pound pull—light enough to be forgiving on the range, heavy enough to feel intentional. The cyan splat finish on the black frame is distinctive and won't hide in a safe.
At just 17.3 ounces unloaded and 7.06 inches overall length, the TX22 is compact and easy to handle. The textured polymer grip is durable and provides decent purchase in a variety of conditions. A 1/2x28 thread adapter is included, which means suppressor and muzzle device options are available if you want to customize further. Whether you're stocking a range bag, training new shooters, or just looking for a no-nonsense .22 that works, the TX22 delivers function over flash.
